Days 3, 4 and 5 of the trip didn't leave much time for writing, but I'm not ready to let go of the feeling yet. Writing about it and seeing the photos almost makes me feel as if I'm still there, not back to the same-old, same-old of daily life.

Big Sur to Monterey-the roadtrip continues

Day 2 of the trip was, well, pretty chilly. It started out gray and bleak and my neck was stiff-probably from weeks of being hunched over a PC, but by far, the 100 or so miles I drove today cover some of the most spectacular scenery in this country, and as far as I’m concerned, in the world.

I’m not one to keep travel diaries or even a notebook of things I do or that happen while I’m traveling or on vacation. Funny, I did keep a diary for the rest of my life since I was 8, even if only to write “Nothing happened today,” which was a common entry during the 7th, 8th and 9th grades.
